Oppo and OnePlus have not been selling their smartphones in Germany via their official websites for some time. Due to a new ruling by the district court of Mannheim, the devices from Oppo and OnePlus can no longer be offered in retail stores.This affects MMS e-commerce (Media Markt and Saturn), Cyberport, Otto, Drillisch, Brodos, Komsa, Logitel, Expert, Freenet and 1&1. The products will probably disappear from the retailers’ branches and online shops in the near future.

The smartphones from Oppo and OnePlus may no longer be sold in German retail.
The reason for the sales stop is the infringement of patent rights of the Finnish manufacturer Nokia. Oppo and OnePlus had apparently used unauthorized technologies in connection with 4G and 5G Standard Essential Patents (SEPs).
